Where does Moon Drive operate?
Moon Drive is available in Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy. Each territory has its own fares, time zone and local address database.
How is the fare calculated?
The fare depends on the category you choose and on the real road route, not a straight-line estimate. It is computed and then shown in the app before you confirm the order: what you see when you order is what you pay.
Does Moon Drive take a commission on rides?
No. Moon Drive takes no commission on the fare. The platform earns only through a flat monthly subscription paid by the driver, which leaves the driver the entire proceeds of every trip.
What is the difference between ride-hailing and Taxi in the app?
The Eco, Confort and Van categories are ride-hailing trips with the price announced in advance. The Taxi category is a licensed taxi whose fare is set by prefectural decree and capped by the regulation in force. It is available in Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guiana, each at the rate of its own decree; it is not offered in Saint-Martin or Saint-Barthélemy, where taxi pricing falls to the Collectivity.
Can I book a ride in advance?
Yes. Scheduled booking is available at least 3 hours before the desired pickup time. The territory’s time zone is applied automatically, which matters in French Guiana as it runs on UTC−3.
How does payment work?
Payment is made in the app by bank card. The fare is collected by the platform then paid out to the driver’s account. A downloadable receipt is generated after every trip.
Is the app available in English?
Yes. Both the app and this site exist in French and English. You switch language from the menu, which is particularly useful in Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy.
Is there Uber in Martinique, Guadeloupe or French Guiana?
Uber does not operate in these territories. Moon Drive is a local alternative, created and run from Martinique, offering the same ease of use: book from the app, identified driver, live tracking on the map, price shown before departure and cashless payment.
Does Moon Drive run at night and at weekends?
Yes. There are no opening hours: you can order a ride at any time. Availability does depend on how many drivers are online at that moment, which the app shows you before you order. For a very early departure or an off-peak hour, booking in advance is the safest option.
How long does it take for a driver to arrive?
It depends on how many drivers are around you when you order. The app shows the number of drivers available nearby before you confirm, then a continuously updated arrival time once the ride is accepted.
Can I pay for a ride in cash?
No. Payment is made by bank card in the app. This avoids handling cash at the roadside, protects both driver and passenger, and allows a receipt to be generated automatically after each trip.
Do I need an account to book?
Yes. Creating an account with an email address, a password and a phone number is required to order a ride. It identifies both riders and drivers, keeps your trip history and makes receipts available.
How do I become a Moon Drive driver?
You need a compliant professional status, a valid VTC card or taxi parking authorisation, professional insurance and a suitable vehicle. You create your account in the app, submit your documents for verification, then activate your monthly subscription.
